The subjects taught are Buddha teachings in general. More especially, the Eighteen Renowned Treatises are taught for sutra category, the Four Tantras for the tantra category, Instructions of Lamdre and the Parting from the Four Attachments for the mind-training category. Besides, general subjects like literature, astrology, poetry, handwriting, English language and other modern subjects are also being taught.

 

Elementary Year:

Primary language and grammar, such as the root text of Sumtak, Lekshed Jonwang, Kaned Salwei Melong, are the main subjects for the elementary class. Situ Drelchen, the second chapter of Dandin’s Kavyadarsha, and Sakya Lekshed are some of the branch subjects. The branch subjects taught in the evening to the elementary class and grade one are Takrig of Loter Wangpo, Takrig of Lowo Khenchen, Suhrllekha (Shetring) and Sramanera-karika (Getshul Karika) of Arya Nagarjuna.

 

First Year:

Bodhicharyavatara (Chodjug) and Chaturshataka (Uma Shhigyapa) are the main syllabus subjects.

 

Second Year:

Rikter Tsawa, Rikter Saljed, or Rikter Drelwa, are the main syllabus subjects, and Pramanaviniscaya (Tsedma Namnge) is taught as the branch syllabus subject.

 

Third Year:

Pramanavarttika (Tsedma Namdrel) as the main syllabus subject, and Madhyamikalamkara (Uma Gyen) as the branch syllabus subject.

 

Fourth Year:

Madhyamika-karika (Uma Tsawei Sherab), Madhyamikavatara (Uma Jugpa), Kadrel Tawa Ngensel are the main syllabus subjects, and Tawei Shenjed, Yuktisastika (Rigpa Drukchupa), Vigrahavyavartani (Tsod-dhog), Sunyatasaptati (Tong-nyid Dunchupa) and Vaidalyaprakarana (Shibmo Namthak) are taught as the branch syllabus subjects.

 

Fifth Year:

Abhidharmakosha (Ngonpa Zod) and Abhidharma-samuccaya (Ngonpa Kuntue) as the main syllabus subjects, and Khorde Rabsal are taught as the branch syllabus subject.

 

Sixth Year:

Abhisamayalamkarasphutartha (Drelchung Donsal) as the main syllabus subject, and Yumdon Rabsal is taught as the branch syllabus subject.

 

Seventh Year:

Bedon Zabmo Tergyi Khagyed, or Tsikdon Rabsal as the main syllabus subject, and Kyebu Chokgi Saljed and Nyomjug Rabsal are taught as the branch syllabus subjects.

 

Eighth Year:

Domsum Rabye, Domsum Kyidon, Domsum Khakong as the main syllabus subjects, and Domsum Thrulpong, Domsum Jamyang Lamei Gonggyen and Pramana-samuccaya (Tsedma Kunley Tuepa) are taught as the branch syllabus subjects.

 

Ninth Year:

Vinaya-sutra (Dhulwa Dhotsa), Pratimoksha-sutra (Sordho) as the main syllabus subjects, and Metok Trengyud as the branch syllabus subject.

 

Tenth Year:

Tsagyud Taknyi, or Gur and Samputa as the main syllabus subjects and Ngensong Jong-jud, Cakrasamvara-tantra (Dechog) and Vajrabhairava-tantra (Jigjed) are taught as the branch syllabus subjects.
