Jamyang Kalsang

Khenpo Jamyang Kalsang was enrolled at Ngor Ewam Choedey Monastery in 1993 and completed his basic mudra practices and ritual education. He received Sramanera and Bhikshu ordinations from H.E Luding Khenchen. In 1998, he joined Sakya College where he studied sutras, tantras and Tibetan literatures for sixteen years under the tutorial of eminent teachers like Late Khenpo Migmar Tsering, Khenchen Sonam Gyatso, Khenpo Jamyang Paljor, Ngawang Zopa and many other teachers. He received initiations, oral transmissions, pith instructions and explanations on esoteric teachings including Lamdre from H.H Sakya Trizin, H.H Jigdral Dagchen Rinpoche, H.E Luding Khenchen and other realized masters. Since 2006, he has subsequently assumed the post of assistant teacher, teacher and Khenpo.

Khenpo  Tsultrim

Khenpo Tsultrim Tendar was born in 1976. In 1985, he received Sramanera ordination (novice vows) from Lama Losang Jampa. He began to learn basic grammars and Tibetan literatures at Migyur Bugon Paldan Zhiwa Monastery. He received the complete set of Lamdre teachings from Loga Rinpoche and H.H Jigdral Dagchen Rinpoche, and Kalachakra empowerments and many other teachings from H.H The Dalai Lama. In 1991, he was enrolled at Thupten Namgyaling Institute in Puruwala, Dehradun, and then at Sakya College in 1994 under the tutorial of Late Khenpo Migmar Tsering. In 2000, he obtained Kachupa (equivalent to BA) with H.H. 42nd Sakya Trizin, Ratna Vajra Rinpoche. He received oral transmissions, empowerments and pith teachings on the Compendium of Sadhanas and Tantrapitakas from H.H Sakya Trichen Rinpoche and 'Serchho Chusum', etc. from H.E Luding Khenchen. From Khenchen Appey, he received reading transmissions on Kunkhyen Gorampa’s Collected Works and on other collected works. In 2002, he founded Zhiwa Buddhist Centre at Katmandu, Nepal. In 2005, he was appointed as the principal of newly-built Migyur Dechen Choling Monastery. And a year later in 2006, he was appointed as the abbot of Zhiwa Monastery. In 2013, at the request of Khenchen Sonam Gyatso, H.H. Sakya Trichen appointed him as treasurer of this college and has held his responsibility since then.

Mr. Lobsang Choephel was born in Orissa Tibetan Settlement and completed his schooling from TCV Bylakuppe. He joined Central Institute for Higher Tibetan Studies in Sarnath, Varanasi, and completed his Shastri (BA). At CIHTS, he was elected as vice-president of Sakya Students Union for 2 years. He also served as president of Ex-TCV Students’ Union Association. In 2004, he joined Sakya College Office and has served as secretary ever since.

Ngawang Khyenrab

Ven. Ngawang Khyenrab joined Sakya College in 2009, after completing class twelve from Phuntsholing Higher Secondary School in Bhutan. He graduated with Kachupa and Loppon degree respectively from Sakya College. Presently, he is an assistant secretary at Sakya College, and also an incharge of Gorum Library.

Ven. Nima Dorji joined Sakya College in 2013 and graduated with Kachupa degree in 2023. Presently, he is a provision manager.
